Inspire Me Monday: Get That Glow!

Howdy all!  Welcome to another Inspire Me Monday.  I'm your hostess Allison Cope and today I’m going to be working my glow, girl!

Actually I’m going to be sharing my coloring process of added a glow to the beautiful Hellebore flowers from the Hellebore & Hyacinth stamp set.  I’m going to be coloring with Copic Markers and then added some detail using some Polychromos Pencils.

Come and join me at my crafty desk…  I sure hope you have grabbed a beverage of choice because this one is a little longer than one of my normal videos.  Enjoy...

Thanks for joining me today.  Here’s another quick look at my finished card.  I finished off the glass vase and the shadow on the ground off camera.

Here is the list of Copic Markers and the Polychromos Pencils I used for the entire card’s focal image…

Thanks for joining me today.  I hope you’ve enjoyed my tutorial and it inspires you to add a glow to your next project!

I had a blast with this image, playing with a new watercolour brush that I got for Mother's Day, this was the first real image that I got to paint with it. But I love this brush!

As per usual, I have a process video to share with you all!

Inspire Me Monday: Creating with Brusho

Hello Power Poppy Fans!  Welcome to another edition of Inspire Me Monday.  I’m Allison Cope and I’m your hostess today.

Today we’re going to explore the coloring medium of Brusho Crystal Colour.  What’s that you ask. it’s a one-of-a-kind water-based paint medium. It's super-highly-pigmented, unpredictable and it's loads of fun to paint with!

I chose the large and luscious “Tiger Lily XL” stamp set to create with today so grab something to sip and join me in my crafty space…

So here is our end creation.  It’s super vivid and rich with interest.  I chose a sentiment from the “Short Stacks” stamp set as my sentiment.

I chose to die cut the sentiment semi-circle from the card front and adhere the piece to the inside of my card panel...

If you are interested in printing out my Brusho chart, click the image below to download for FREE.  I printed mine out on watercolour paper so it would be printed out on a paper that I would be using with my medium.

A Challenge for Allison:

For my May episode of Inspire Me Monday, I want YOU to leave me a challenge.  So leave a comment below indicating what you would like to see me create with… maybe a certain stamp set… maybe a specific medium… maybe just create something with a certain theme.  I want to hear from YOU!
Can’t wait to see what you challenge me with!

Thanks for joining me today!  I hope I’ve inspired you.  So now it’s your turn… go and grab your favorite medium and CREATE!

Copic Coloring with Mindy - Coloring a Cake

Hello there my Power Poppy Peeps! It's Mindy from My Creative Scoop and I have a new tutorial to share with you on this Inspire Me Monday!

I'm using this adorable Layered Cake Digi from Power Poppy I had so much my fun coloring this image and I absolutely love the way that it came out! Coloring this cake is all about the texture and shading. I literally dotted the entire time I was coloring so I could get the cake texture right. I know so many people have trouble with shading and shadowing but coloring any Power Poppy Image is already helping with where to add those shadows.

If you look closely on the photo below there are tiny lines and dots to show you were to add all those shadows.

Ok, let's get on with the tutorial you can use any Copic Colors you'd like but here's the colors I'm using.

E43, E42, E41, E25, R85, R81, V12, V15, V0000, B00, B93, B95, BG11, BG13, BG18 Y21, Y26, G20, G24.

You will repeat the next couple steps for each different color and layer of the cake, unless you choose to keep the layers all the same.

I hope you enjoyed this month's coloring with me! I also wanted to share with you that my Mother's Day Coloring Class featuring Power Poppy's Hellebore's Digi Stamp is now available for a limited time. You can sign up today for lifetime access to the course!

Have a wonderful day!

Inspire Me Monday: Blow Up Your Digis

Hey everyone, welcome to another Inspire Me Monday! Jessie here with you all again today, hoping to pop some cropping and watercolour inspiration into your Monday!

I enlarged and cropped the Heart Abloom Digital Image to fit the front of an A2 size card, then printed it out on Fabriano Artistico 140lb extra white hotpress watercolour paper. I then pulled out some of my Daniel Smith watercolor paints and had a blast painting up all these gorgeous florals!

Edit: We’ve gotten a lot of questions and comments about what method Jessie uses to resize her images. In a newsletter, I suggested enlarging the image in the print dialog box (that’s what I do) but Jessie has just created a REALLY HELPFUL tutorial video for showing how she enlarges, rotates, and crops images for cards using Microsoft Word. Take a look! ~marcella

Thanks for stopping by,
Hugz,
Jessie

Creating a Background behind your Power Poppy Flowers using Copics!

Hello! It's Mindy here from MyCreativeScoop.com with another Copic Marker Tutorial to share on this Inspire Me Monday!

I'm using this brand new Digi Stamp Blossoming Cherry which is being released TODAY! It's gorgeous! I actually have 2 of these images combined for a fuller look-- and because I wanted more of it to color! :)

So I have decided to add some mountains to the background of the stamp and of course I'll show you how I've colored the flowers. So, let's get to the tutorial.

I hope you enjoyed my Copic Tutorial. I would love for you to follow along with me. You don't even need the exact colors I used just any coordinating colors would work.

For more Copic fun visit my website, My Creative Scoop where I have tons of free tutorials, digis, color combos and I even offer online classes!

Have a wonderful week my friends!
