International Women's Day Blog Hop

Happy Women’s Day to everybody! Thank you for doing ALL of the things you do — often times, thanklessly. You nurture, you lead, you toil, you comfort. You deserve to have Women’s Day every single day of the year if you ask me. (And around Power Poppy, I’d say we celebrate you every single day.)

Between loading wheelbarrows with mulch to nourish my garden of ever-growing varieties of daffodils, I’ve spent some time this morning painting in a digital download called Dancing with Daffodils.

This illustration means a lot to me, as it is a celebration of one of my favorite plants. The foliage is uplifting and swirling, a buoyant spring scene. To me, this image signifies the wonderfulness and joy of a certain woman I adore, my mother, Susan. She passed away in February, 2016, and was the queen of daffodils, growing hundreds of varieties in her dreamy garden.

Which brings me to the sentiment I’m going to pair with this image when I frame it up... “This life is wonderfully, uniquely yours”. I offer this design in my clear stamp set Strong and Beautiful.

I haven’t gotten to framing yet, because I need to get outside and keep moving that mulch. But I thank you for stopping by today on this exciting blog hop, and I’m very grateful to Rahmet for asking me to play along.

Here are the links too see all of the other wonderful participants in today’s hop. There are a WHOLE BUNCH OF PRIZES up for grabs from some of your favorite stamp companies (see below).
