Friday

It’s Power Poppy Friday with fresh ideas to share

Well Hello! It’s Friday, Power Poppy Peeps, and so what does that mean? Every Friday we’re here with a bit of colorful fun and fresh ideas to share! For starters, did you see that Power Poppy unveiled a brand new addition to our digital line of images, a.k.a. The Instant Garden? If you missed it, you’ll want to take a peek. The new kid on the block is already turning a few heads!

You can purchase and download Everything’s Rosy, which comes with one lovely rose tableau and two sentiments, over at the Power Poppy shop! I am sure you already know this, but with a lush image like this, it promises to bring plenty of cardmaking joy for years and years to come! I already know it’s going to hit my all time favorites list!

One Tuesday, our Instant Gardener team introduced you to this new set (click here to get the link list!) And now, the Bloomies have printed, colored and matted up this beauty for their Friday creations, so you’ll have to take a few minutes out of your blog-hopping today to see their take on this brand new illustration from the absolutely fabulous Marcella Hawley!

Before we bid you adieu, we have the work of some of our Power Poppy Peeps to showcase! If you haven’t checked out this month’s Power & Spark Stretch Yourself Challenge -- you need to! Its a double challenge that urges you to not only create a stretched or “tall” card, but it encourages you to stretch your creativity by trying or using something new! You can read all about it and link up your cards HERE!

Just like most Fridays, we like to dig into the linky list and see some of the entries that have come in for our Power & Spark Challenge over the past week. After looking at all of the lovelies that have been linked up, I couldn’t choose just one to share! I had to pick at least TWO! We just love to see all of the creativity bubbling up — thank you for sharing your creations, friends!

I was completely struck by this beauty in blue by Janine Brain. She used Power Poppy’s Climbing Clematis digital image for her large-and-in-charge creation! Love how she linked the two images with the little curlicues. Don’t you love the depth she created thanks to her Copic markers in hues of beautiful aqua blues? Oh my!

The second card that caught my eye is awash in Lavender — the color AND the flower! This watercolored card by Evelyn using Power Poppy's Lavender stamp set just has that dreamy feel about it! I love the clean and classy design too! It most certainly gives off that peaceful, easy feeling!

If you haven’t played along yet, you still have time! This month’s Power & Spark Challenge closes on January 31st. So, hit your craft room and let’s see what you come up with! Winner gets to hit the Power Poppy Shop and pick any stamp set they like if they win! Woo hoo!

Thanks for stopping by and seeing what we have in store! Christine Okken will be here for another edition of Inspire Me Monday. So, stop back and be prepared to be wowed as she gives us some cardmaking tips and tricks to kick off our creative week!

Have a great weekend!
~Julie
