A Bit of Sunshine Headed Your Way!

Hello Power Poppy Fans! You're going to want to buckle up for this blog post because we have so much going on today that it might be a wild ride! We have new digital images, a few challenges that you can use to get those creative juices flowing AND a winner to announce!

Are you buckled and ready?

For starters, why not bask in the glow of a brand new member to the Power Poppy Instant Garden? This image delivers a big splash of sunshine to dress up those dreary winter days and share the message that spring is indeed around the corner -- Punxsutawney Phil even said so! ;-)

Magnolia Sunshine leaps off the page with its showy medallion-shaped bouquet featuring a mix of Saucer Magnolias, Trumpet Daffodils and Snowdrops. It’s jam-packed with joyful details and it is the perfect springtime digi to add to your collection! Add in a Frances Hodgson Burnett quote and you have the finishing touches on an uplifting card for sure! Stay tuned for our link list, which is combined with not only our beloved Bloomies but a few of our Instant Gardeners. They are standing at the ready to show off this showy bouquet!

BUT FIRST, It’s the first Friday of the month and you know what that means... It’s time for another Power & Spark Challenge!

This one is brought to you by the color-lovin', colorista Ally Cope! Today, she's challenging us to switch it up in the shade department! Let's see what she has to say.....

YOUR CHALLENGE... This month I want you pull out a coloring medium that you don't use that often. So if you tend to use Copic Markers for instance, pull out your water color paints or your colored pencils instead! Lets see you use up some of those not-so-used mediums this month.~Ally

And, Ally (of course) shared a drop dead gorgeous card showcasing how she put this challenge to the test! We all know she can do wonders with those Copic Markers BUT TODAY, she showed us she's just as skilled with watercolor pencils (Derwent Inktense).

Ms. Ally used Power Poppy's brand new digi image Magnolia Sunshine  — giving you a creative one-two punch on how you can seize this weekend with 1. a new challenge and 2. a new image to play around with! I love the spring greens that dominate her card -- so bright and fresh!

So, how can you play along?

  • Use Power Poppy stamps if you have them, but if you don’t, this is a great way to WIN them
  • Link your creation below using our Linky (please use the exact URL from your post instead of a generic blog address.)
  • Please mention Power Poppy in YOUR blog or gallery post with a link back to THIS challenge
  • The winner will receive a free clear or digital stamp set of choice from the Power Poppy Shop
  • Enter as many cards as you’d like, as long as they fit the theme of the challenge!
  • Deadline to enter is February 29 @ 8:00pm EST.  At that point, we’ll draw the winner randomly and make the announcement right here on the first Friday of March!

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Being that it's the first Friday, we HAVE to let you know who walked away the winner of  THIS challenge --- last month's Stretch Yourself Power & Spark Challenge! After all the entries were thrown into's super smart number generator, the winner was.....

Big Congrats Maria! You get to go shopping in the Power Poppy Shop for a brand new clear or digi set of YOUR choosing! Woo hoo! And, because Maria landed in the Winner’s Circle, we’d love to share her beautiful creation...

Maria used her water coloring finesse to bring this Azalea stamp to life. The hot pink accents grab your attention and bring that fun contrast to the otherwise earthy hues! Well done Ms. Maria!

Need another challenge to keep you busy during this momentous Superbowl 50 Weekend? Well, we have one that won't last for a few days -- it's a 30 Day Challenge designed to get your fingers coloring each and every day for that bit of artistic solitude!

Our blogging and stamping bud Kathy Racoosin is at it again --- ushering in yet another fun-filled 30 Day Coloring Challenge to last the whole month though! Just click HERE to head on over to The Daily Marker, where all the fun is there just waiting for you!

Here's what she has to say about this 30-Day Event!

Thanks Kathy for always inspiring us to color our world and take a break from the daily grind. We agree  -- it's good for the soul!

And now, (not to leave these fine ladies hanging one second longer!) we bring you.... THE BLOOMIES along with some of our INSTANT GARDENERS as they show off and share a little Magnolia Sunshine!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Our AWESOME Ally Cope will be back on Monday with a new edition of Inspire Me Monday -- just to get your week off to a great creative start! See you then!

Your clear stamps are just amazing. I need to come back and order that gingerbread house stamp next week. The floral stamps are so beautiful the artist had to have a love for gardens. said...
