Introducing: Heavenly Peace Dove

Day 5 of Quiet Christmas:

Introducing: Heavenly Peace Dove

Peace on Earth — an idea we can all agree on. I’ve drawn a gentle white dove emerging from olive branches, accompanied by messages of peace and love. Get in the spirit and love one another! Love your neighbor, love your enemy. Love is the way, and the Heavenly Peace Dove is the perfect image to capture the exuberance of the concept. A simple hand-drawn banner may be trimmed out and placed over the dove, and then stamped with your choice of sentiments that fit inside.

Introducing: Let It Glow

Day 4 of Quiet Christmas:

Introducing: Let It Glow

I think one of the nicest compliments a person can receive is: “You really light up a room.” Don’t we all have a few friends who do that? I feel fortunate to say that I do! I also think that EACH of us have the ability to light up a room... simply by making other people feel good. The quality of radiance and warmth simply spills out, on to other people, and then they pass it on, too... a joyful glow is contagious. So come on, people, Let It Glow!

Whether it’s at Christmas or New Year’s, or even a birthday, I think this stamp set will help us spread the concept of lighting up one another’s lives. It’s something I feel strongly about.

Radiant with happy vibes, this sentiment-rich set has phrases and images to help you put a little light into a card at any time of year. A large sentiment proclaiming “Let it Glow” was hand-lettered by Marcella Hawley, and has loads of supporting sentiments in a modern sans serif font. Sentiments include: "Shine Your Light"; "Sparkle and Shine, Girlfriend"; and "Reflect, Renew, Rejoice!"

Supplemental illustrations set the scene: Shimmering sequins and starbursts are perfect for playing with backgrounds. A string of retro lights is a great border-making element.
Enhance the luminous lettering of "Let it Glow" with hand-drawn "shimmers" that wrap around the letterforms, as I’ve shown above!

PLEASE NOTE: Digital download versions of these images are coming soon to powerpoppy.com

Introducing: Garden of Gratitude

Day 3 of Quiet Christmas:

Introducing: Garden of Gratitude

Everybody who hangs around anywhere near Power Poppy knows that I’m gaga for gardening. I get the tingles for trellises and go cuckoo over compost. See where I’m going with this? I’ve drawn a garden-inspired Christmas images before, but it’s been several years, and the itch needed to be scratched. What’s funny is that I named the set before I even drew a single thing. I’m also gaga for gratitude, as in my world, the two things, gardening and gratitude, actually go hand in hand. In fact, I’m working on a memoir right now covering these very topics.

And so, I share with you one of my very favorite stamp sets of the release, Garden of Gratitude.

Two large, garden-inspired focal images to fill your cards with life. A pair of rubber gardening boots (wellies) holds the cutest bouquet of Poinsettia, Amaryllis, Hellebore, Holly, and Winterberry. The second image is a vine trained up an inverted tree-shaped trellis, which sits inside a flower pot. Are the hanging fruits oranges or ornaments? You get to decide! Plus you get an extra vine with baubles for a border or accent. A smaller image of garden shears snips a sprig of Holly.
Includes all kinds of sentiments for merrymaking.

Introducing Enchanted Branches: Nativity

Hi friends — thank you for the warm reception yesterday to our new collection, Quiet Christmas. I think you can tell that we have been aching to get new stamp sets on the scene... can you believe my last new release of stamps was in Summer, 2019?

After taking a lot of time off to travel, reflect, and renew my spirit, I’m doing some of the best artwork I feel I’ve ever drawn. I sincerely hope that these drawings and sentiments enable you to make elegant, eye-catching cards that provide you the tools to make your handmade keepsakes! The images you select are very important to up the elegance of your card... and so, let’s see what we have to help!

I'm going to recap our updated format once more, just since it’s all so new...

Instead of sharing our blog posts in the morning like we've done for years, we're going to post every evening — for 5 nights in a row

Each night you’ll have a few options: You may purchase the clear stamp we’ve revealed — which will ship out to you after November 6. And/or you can purchase the digital download versions of the illustrations and sentiments — IMMEDIATELY. No waiting. Purchase, download, print, and you can be making a card within 10 minutes.

PLUS: For the first time in the history of Power Poppy, I’M OFFERING BUNDLES of clear stamps for a limited time. You can pre-order the 5 stamp sets that we’re sharing in October. You can also pre-order the 5 stamp sets that we're sharing in November. You only get a little sneak peek at them at first, though... you have to go on blind faith, knowing how much you love your Power Poppy stamps, or you can wait until the full reveal, if any of the bundles are left. xoxo!!

Day TWO of Quiet Christmas:

Introducing: Enchanted Branches: Nativity

Options galore. Precious elements for a nativity scene: the blessed Baby Jesus on a bed of straw, Angel with golden halo, and two adoring lambs are designed to be individual images, but are easily transformed into hanging ornaments with the tiny "cap" and "hooks". Arching evergreen branches, symbolizing eternal life, and a variety of stars give you the flexibility to create enchanting scenes. Beautiful sentiments complete this slightly oversized, 5 x 6" set. Rejoice!

Note: To create the branches you see in our designers’ cards, you'll need to do a little creative clipping and overlaying with your scissors — or you can use the digital version of the sets, which includes the branches set up this way.
