Creative Confetti: Rule of Thirds

Hello, Creative Confetti fans! I have a challenge for you this week and I sure hope that you join me! I got this idea from a friend. Let's call it the rule of thirds. Have you heard of that rule in the art and photography world? The general thought is that to create an interesting composition, the image should be broken into thirds (horizontally and vertically) and if you place your key element along any one of the lines or at the junction of them, your piece will have more interest and be more dynamic. So, today, I'm going to do a little twist on the concept.

HOW TO PLAY: Create a card front and then divide it into thirds. Are you bold enough to divide up that beautiful creation that you colored? I was! You can do it too!

On to my Creation!

We are very lucky to winter in the warmer climate of Florida and we just got back to Wisconsin recently. Here, spring is just thinking about blossoming and I see some tulips, but not a lot.  That's why I decided to use the digital stamp from Power Poppy called Tulips. I printed it out on X-Press It blending card and colored it up with Copic markers. The background was created using Distressed Ink in Peeled Paint and applied with a brush. Then I took the step to actually cut my image into thirds and mount it to my base card.  I heat embossed the sentiment from the Power Poppy stamp set called So Grateful using platinum embossing powder.

Supplies: Tulips V01, V04, V06, V09 and some white gel pen. For the leaves YG03, YG63 and YG67.

The hardest part for me is to add the splatters. These are Novo drops applied with just the tip of the bottle. Thay way I have more control.

Okay friends, now, it's your turn! I hope you have the courage to create and then divide up your creations! I will be waiting to see how you get out of your comfort zone. Remember, after you create, link to your creation using the linky below. Every entry is one more chance to win $25 to spend in the Power Poppy Shop!

Until I see you again, please stay safe and well and..... create something!
