LET’S GET THIS PARTY STARTED, SHALL WE?
First up, we are a wee bit late announcing this month’s challenge. We had a dynamic and colorful week of sneaks to plan and knew that you all would be more than okay waiting while we showed off a few of our newest stamp sets for June! Without further ado, this month’s designer-led challenge is hosted by the fabulously sweet CHRISTINE OKKEN! She’s delivering that design power by asking all of us to....
HOW TO PLAY: In the words of Ms. Christine...
“I thought it would be fun to have a challenge where you pull out a different colouring medium: pencils! So, we’re calling it ‘Pencil Me In!’ Today I used Prismacolour Pencils, but you can use watercolor pencils, or your 8 year old’s coloured pencils, you could even shade with that old 3B pencil in your stash, like way back when in junior high art class. And if you play along, you’re entered to win a free Power Poppy stamp set!”
THE OFFICIAL RULES:
- Use Power Poppy stamps if you have them, but if you don’t, this is a great way to WIN them
- Link your creation below using our Linky (please use the exact URL from your post instead of a generic blog address.)
- Please mention Power Poppy in YOUR blog or gallery post with a link back to THIS challenge
- The winner will receive a free clear or digital stamp set of choice from the Power Poppy Shop
- Enter as many cards as you’d like, as long as they fit the theme of the challenge!
- Deadline to enter is June 30 at 8:00pm EST. At that point, we'll draw the winner randomly and make the announcement right here on the first Friday of July.
GOOD LUCK HAPPY STAMPERS! Get those pencils sharpened and put them to paper! Enter and you could be the lucky one to win a Power Poppy stamp set of choice!

NOW IT’S TIME TO SHARE OUR WINNERS FOR MAY!
We had so many amazing entries for the Cut it Out Challenge (see original post) that we are so grateful that we use random.org to pick our winners! You see, if we based the winning card on sheer talent, you ALL would have won. Thank you so much for entering, and please do enter often.
The results of our first drawing....
Which means our first winner is Kerry Piader!
Kerry used Power Poppy's Lilac Time, and then carefully clipped out the tiny buds and blossoms. What a lovely, lavender-and-lemon-lime beauty! I love the home spun charm that this card exudes!
Moving on... and because there were SO many wonderful entries, and all of you talented ladies had to wait an extra week for the winner to be announced, Marcella decided that there wouldn’t be just ONE winner! This month, we have TWO! The winner of our second drawing is....
And that means Donna Gourley is our second winner!
Not only is the coloring on Donna’s card to die for, I just love the earthy colors and texture from that woven accent she added to the background. She used the clear Daffodils set for this card, and layered a few cut-out daffodils blooms. To that, I say, “just fabulous!”
Congratulations Kerry & Donna! Email us at bloom@powerpoppy.com with the stamp set you would like to receive along with your snail mail addy and we’ll get your winnings on their way—or let us know if you’d prefer a digital set. You choose!

Thanks so much for stopping by and spending part of your day with us. It makes us smile! Have a fabulous weekend and don’t forget to swing by here Monday. Why? Well, being that it is the 15th of the month, that means we have another sweet smelling addition to our Instant Garden! Our next digital stamp set is just days away from release and the Instant Gardeners will be out in full force showing off Marcella’s latest! See you then!

Congratulations to Kerry and Donna! What beautiful cards! And what a fun challenge using pencils! Now that will be a challenge for me, being a Copic gal. But we all need to stretch ourselves, right! Beautiful cards by the Bloomies, and what a great start of the weekend! Hugs!
Congrats to the winners!
Congratulations to the winners of this challenge, I saw all the entries and I just couldn't pick one, they are all amazing.
I love this new challenge, pencils are my other favorite way to color Marcella's images so I will be sure to enter this time.
Congrats to the winners. Thanks for another fun challenge!
