Inspire Me Monday - Shaker Card

Hello Everyone, How are you today? It‘s me Kathy and I am back for my monthly feature on the Power Poppy Blog and always happy to be back. :)

I inked up the beautiful new stamp set called, “Soothing Sympathy” to create my shaker card today. I have a fairly short video on my process using some Zig Clean Color watercolor markers. The colors are so vibrant and bold plus I love the tips.

I used some black dye ink on some of Tim Holtz’s watercolor paper. I love that this particular paper is a bright white.

This is my finished bouquet before I add the background.

I glued two pieces of fun foam together then added acetate on top of my foam sandwich. I die cut the frame again from some white cardstock for my final layer. When the watercoloring is dry I will add the sequin mix “Little Things from Lucy's Cards” on top and glue the frame with some glossy accents. Easy and fun.

Thanks for having me and have a wonderful week. Hugs, Kathy (The Daily Marker)

Kathy, dear, not only is your shaker card about the cutest thing on wheels, but after watching your video, I'm a bit choked up! What kind things you've said, I am touched more than you know. Thank you for making this lovely piece, for sharing this cozy and creative, chatty and informative video helping us all feel like we, too, can make this card. I have GOT to get some ZIG Clean Color Markers, I can't stand it anymore. The results are just too intensely lovely. Or maybe the results are just that lovely because this project was made BY YOU! Cleverness abounds! We LOVE having you over at Power Poppy, thank you, Kathy. xoxo

Hello Kathy: I love, love this shaker card, I don't have to much experience making this style of cards but I love them, they are fun and beautiful and, when they have such gorgeous images like this, they become works of art.
I've been enjoying Marcella's images since her days at Flourishes, I don't think any other stamps give me such pleasure and joy every time I sit down to color them.
You said it best, Marcella's love of life and people shines through her images and her kindness and generosity are evident by the fact she shares this incredible gift with all of us.
I'm so incredibly happy she started Power Poppy, I don't think there is anything out there that compares with her images, we all are very fortunate to enjoy them.
Thank you for sharing this fabulous video, I too will get me a nice, big set of Zig markers, I've seen the brightness and vibrancy of their colors and I can see how beautifully they blend.
Big Hugs,
Maria Rodriguez.
